Friday Notes

We had a busy day. I took the kids to school and then ran to get my oil changed while they were there. After I got the oil changed I ran to mom's and installed Memories Suite on her computer. I gave her a brief tour and then picked the kids up. After school we went to the mall and met LaRee. We ate lunch and went to party hoppers for a few hours. We came home and the kids slept for a bit while I continued to browse through MMS. I made dinner, potato soup, and then played with the kids and computer until their bedtime. Then the memorable moment happened...

Mitch got glowsticks for the kids - a frequent treat in our house. He cracked two of them and one was blue and one was gold. Giddy always gets the blue, so I told Mitch to let Abby pick first which color she wanted. She picked the blue and then Giddy threw a "falling down, screaming fit." He was mad he didn't get the blue one. So because of his behavior Mitch said he wouldn't get a glow stick for teh night. He continued to wail all through their prayer and after. Mitch reminded Giddy why he wasn't getting a stick, becuase he threw a fit...AND Giddy said - I wasn't throwing a fit I was having a party! ROFL -- He didn't get the glow stick and despite his predictions that he wouldn't be able to sleep all night fell asleep rather quickly. LOL---he is creative when he wants to be.

My First Scrapbook

My software finally arrived! It is wonderful. I love it. I have been working on it all night and have finished six pages. Kudos and thanks to Summer Driggs for the paper and elements and to Bethany Harty at Elegant Word Art for the word art.

Bubbble Gum Disaster

Funniest thing happened last night. Giddy got gum from Mister John at church and was apparently playing with it in the car. We had to stop to get juice for him to take to school so while I ran into the store apparently his playing got out of control. I came out and he had gum all over his eyebrows, on his nose, lips and hands. He was trying to get it off and complaining that it was sticky. LOL--I had to laugh before I asked him what what happening. When we got home I had to scrub him clean, which included having to pull out a good number of his eyebrows just to get the gum off. During the cleaning he was crying and says" This is horrible! This is way worse than I was expecting." And he also said " I have to get this off mommy or the kids at school will make fun of me. LOL -- Definately one for the books. OH -- I almost forgot. I took a picture of him with it all over his face. He said " Why do have to take pictures of everything, mommy?" Little does he know it's for the memory book. He'll get to relive the moment forever.

That was the best memory from last night, but I also need to note that Levi smiled at me all through church. He's ALMOST giggling. Cute as button, that little one. AND Abby...not much to report. Still pooping. I guess that's something. The other day she hadn't gone in a while. Went in the potty and clogged it so much that Mitch had to go buy a snake to get the toilet unclog. I'm not sure she'd want to know I blog about that though.

A late night and a early morning

It was a bit of a crazy night. Mitch got home late. Amy stayed at our house until Alexis got there. Nothing was normal. The kids ate early then we we to take t heir baths. The water which had been on a boil advisory yesterday, was still brownish, so it was a quick bath. Then the baby was fussy. It was great to get everyone to bed.

Unfortunately at 12:30 the baby woke up to be fed and while Mitch was getting his bottle Abby started crying. Her pull-up had leaked and she was soaked. I started changing her and she couldn't stop crying -- The girl hates to be woken up by anything. She was funny though. I told her to take her clothes off and she cried " i don't want to take my clothes off." I told her she was going to have to sleep on half her bed and she cried " I want to sleep on my whole bed." I told her I need to wipe her down and she cried " I don't want to be wiped down!" The I pulled her zip up pajamas out of the wash and she was nothing but smiles and giggles.

LOL, and then there was Giddy. I woke him up to put him on the top bunk and he started talking and didn't stop until I turned the light off again. The boy is never far from wide-awake. He was cute though telling me that his blankie was so snugly. Anyway...I wasn't back in bed by 1:40. Hence me being a little tired this morning. BUT I got out of bed at 5 and started my day. I actually jumped out of bed wide awake because I accidentlydropped my travel alarm on the baby's head. I felt so bad and had to check him out to make sure he wasn't hurt. Don't worry---He yelled and me and told me never to do that again:-)

Blogging again

I've decided I have to start blogging again. I just read my blog from 2005 and I don't remember ANY of that stuff. So much happens, and I don't recall much of it.

So, this is where I am today. Levi is twelve weeks old and the twins are four and half. The twins are in preschool at Vienna Christian. Amy Askey picks them up from their morning preschool and takes them home to be watched with Levi and Avery. Right now I am working as Title II Coordinator and am working 28 hours a week. Tri-s has filed bankruptcy in December 2008, but Mitch is still working there.

I discovered digital scrap booking in December after I had Levi. I am subscribed to Smilebox and am awaiting My Polaroid Suite to arrive anyday. I have already ordered a 12x12 scrap for Grandma Alice MCanulty, a 10x10 for me, a 10x10 for dad, a 8.5x8.5 of Chihuly's work for Mitch for Valentine's day, and just ordered the 2005 pages for my scrapbook.

Levi is smiling occaionally. More and more frequently he smiles when I talk to him. He weighs 12 lbs and is 25 inches long. The twins are both in 6x clothes, though Abby doesn't have the waist to hold her pants up.

Yesterday the water got contaminated in Parkersburg due to a break and we are under a boil advisory notice. While we were watching the news to learn about the break I flipped to a channel that was showing pirahnas in the Amazon and the guide was talking about girls being eaten by the pirahnas. LOL, not five minutes later Abby told me she had to go to the potty. I told her to go. So she went towards the bathroom but was reluctant to go in. I told her to hurry so she wouldn't have an accident. She went in adn then came out and asked me if she could flush the potty. I told her she could and she looked at me with concern and said " What about those fish that eat girls?' lol. I laughed and told her it was fine, they don't live around here.

Another neat thing from yesetrday was that Amy brought over some first reader books, which are about a first grade level book. Gideon was reading the stories to us!!! He needed the occassional help on a word, but overall read the whole thing! We were very proud. Of course, I don't think he understood how proud I was. When I told him to tell daddy what he had done, after Mitch got home, he said " I ate all my dinner so I can make cookies with mommy." I prodded some more and he said "I played a phonics game on the computer and helped mommy mop the floor." Oh well, Kudos to him on all of that too.

We did make cookies and the kids had a cookie party while they watched Dumbo. They were so concerned for poor little Dumbo. It was sweet to see their concerned little faces. They really enjoyed the movie. I think it's the first time they connected with it
